Here we are on our way to the caves, and a good day to do it, as it rained all day.
Wet driving...
The vineyards are plentiful in this area!
A small house near the entrance...
Patrick hitches a ride...
Here are some photos of Hastings Caves in Port Huon, Tasmania...
I'm not going to comment on all of these photos, as they are photos of the caves. I was not too keen about this idea, being a bit claustrophobic. After we reached several tighter areas, I stayed further back and let the group move ahead, helping me a bit...
Under a flashlight
Under ceiling lights...
This room is called The Cathedral
Very muddy water...
Lesly finds water irresistible...
This pool is fed from an underwater hot-spring...
While Lesly was with the boys in the pool, we found a gazebo with two beautiful
stone fireplaces, both with roaring fires going. David, Cindy and Russ
hung out there and chatted with the folks coming over to warm up or dry clothes
after leaving the pool. Young folks from Britain, France, Spain, Scotland,
mainland Oz, etc. It was great chatting and getting to know their
perspective of Tasmania.
